The New TP5 golf ball from TaylorMade has a five layer construction which features a new Speed-Layer System, this is comprised of four increasingly stiff layers which produce more ball speed resulting in more carry distance off the tee and more control when playing in the wind. The TP5 also features a new material, HFM or High-Flex Material which, through greater rebound delivers higher ball speed, like a tightly wound spring building energy and quickly rebounding.
